🖥️ Mac (Safari)

Open Safari and go to the app URL
Click File → Add to Dock (macOS Sonoma and later)
— or — Click the Share button ⬆️ in the toolbar, then Add to Dock
The app appears in your Dock and opens like a native app
To remove: right-click the Dock icon → Options → Remove from Dock

Tip: Chrome on Mac can also install via ⋮ menu → Install App, but Safari's Add to Dock gives a cleaner native feel.

🖥️ Windows PC (Chrome or Edge)

Open Chrome or Edge and go to the app URL
Click the install icon in the address bar (⊕ on Chrome, device icon on Edge)
— or — Click ⋮ menu → Install App (Chrome) / ⋯ menu → Apps → Install this site as an app (Edge)
Click Install in the confirmation dialog
The app opens in its own window with a desktop shortcut
To remove: uninstall from Settings → Apps like any other program

📱 iPhone (Safari)

Open Safari and go to the app URL
Tap the Share button ⬆️ at the bottom of the screen (square with arrow)
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
Tap Add in the top right corner
The app icon appears on your home screen — tap it to open full-screen

Important: This only works in Safari on iPhone. Chrome and other browsers on iOS don't support PWA installation.

🤖 Android (Chrome)

Open Chrome and go to the app URL
Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots, top right)
Tap Install app or Add to Home Screen
Tap Install to confirm
The app icon appears on your home screen and opens in its own window

Tip: Some Android phones also show an "Install" banner at the bottom of the screen when you visit the site.

🔄 App Not Updating?

If you see an older version of the app, try these steps:

iPhone/Safari: Open the app → tap URL bar → type the URL fresh, or clear Safari cache in Settings → Safari → Clear History, then re-open
Android/Chrome: Long-press the app icon → App info → Clear cache, or uninstall and re-install from the browser
Mac Safari: Develop → Empty Caches, then reload
Windows Chrome/Edge: Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete → clear cached images, then reload

📋 App Sections

Woodland & Farm Land Manager helps you track property parcels, farms, fields, activities, goals, foresters, and documents — all stored locally on your device and ready to use offline in the field.

Owner & Parcels

Add your contact info and list all property parcels. Each parcel has its own county field so Property Info links work correctly for land in multiple counties. Acreage fields auto-total as you type.

Map

Draw points, lines, and polygons on your property map to mark fields, fences, timber stands, and other features. Useful for planning and field visits.

Farms

Organize your parcels into farms, then break farms into tracts and fields. Attach map links, add an optional Parcel ID at the field level when fields under the same tract/farm sit on different tax parcels, and track HEL/wetland status per field.

Activities & Goals

Log work activities (spraying, planting, logging, etc.) with dates and costs. Set goals with target years and track progress.

Foresters

Keep contact info for foresters, county staff, conservation advisors, and contractors you work with.

Documents

Upload and organize documents related to your property — deeds, surveys, permits, contracts, and more.
